We are looking for a motivated practitioner who can work with young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties in their homes and other settings to support a return to formal education.

The Role & Team
Working within our Education and Inclusion team, you will support young with people with Education Health and Care Plans. The young people we work with have social, emotional, and mental health needs and are currently educated at home as part of an Education Other Than At School (EOTAS) package.
You will help shape and deliver a bespoke curriculum. You will be guided under the half termly direction of a specialist teacher and regular direction from specialist health professionals.

About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about education, enjoys a challenge, can work sensitively with young people with complex SEMH needs and their families and has patience in abundance. The role requires you to work 1:1 with each young person. The aim is to support a transition back to an educational setting at a pace that works for individual learners.
The successful candidate will spend time with young people and their families' building relationships and confidence. They will be able to manage their time well to ensure all young people on their caseload are visited and will be able to work effectively with professionals from education, health and social care. They with have a clear understanding of safeguarding and be competent in updating databases with detailed and notes and records.
Although experience in a similar field is desirable, we welcome applications from those that have the relevant transferrable skills, and a passion for working with young people with complex SEMH needs.
Key dates Interview date: 23 June 2023 Start date: In line with our ‘Day One: NEL Induction Process’, we would like to aim to have the successful candidate in post by 4 September 2023
